The argument from internal evidence is strong. The verses contradict both 1 Cor 7 and Gal 3.

That is not an argument from internal evidence. And it presupposes a particular reading of the two passages you mention which is far from airtight.

The passage reads more coherently with the verses removed.

How so? It is actually very coherent with them in, particularly if it is recognized that the verb in v 26 is surely an indicative rather than an imperative.
