Evidentially, it has to do with application of sociological
theory originally proposed by Max Weber almost a century (?)
ago. Weber said that when itinerant charismatic leaders pass
away, the followers tend to consolidate operations and
secure the groups finances.

However, Max Weber is still on my "to do" reading list. All
I have at present are lecture notes made almost 25 years
ago.
