What is the evidence for the death of Paul?  I understand there are two traditions:   1.  Martyrdom    2.  Evangelizing Spain.   Is there a 3rd option?     Stephen Carter

In agreeing with Ed and Grady, I would add that the claim also reflects
the developing myth of Paul in the early church. So, the hyperbole shows
us how the legend of Paul was taking shape and how his figure could
become a focal point for unity.
