Just to be clear, is that the official CC position, or is that you expressing
your opinion?

And if it's CC's position can they please have a think about it. :-)

How are the CC licenses different from the GPL in this respect? The FSF claim that the GPL is a license not a contract. This has some important consequences for the perceived corporate friendliness of the GPL.
