did I actually make the dvd in BasicLinux? No sir. I made it using a
CentOS64 (fairly recent build admittedly)

LOL - Yeah - like I said - trying to save some bandwidth. I have 500
gigs of files downloaded from the internet, some years years old -
because of that very thing: What's? It's been moved? Or worse? LOL

Hard to say. Not outside the realm of possibilities if say a linux
install is loaded with text, source, man pages etc. Text stuff
compresses very well due to many unused bits that compression puts to
good use.
