Philip,
what makes you certain that it is indicative and not a jussive?

HH: Why assume it is a jussive? BDB calls the form an imperfect. Bibleworks parses it as an imperfect, not a jussive. In the parallel passage I gave you the form functioned as an imperfect, not a jussive. And an imperfect gives a sensible meaning.

I know that on A-F's analysis the clause would be long, but this kind of clause does occur. I posted about this here: http://narrativeandontology.blogspot.com/2009/06/what-is-syntax-of-ps-243-5.html.

HH: I checked your blog, and Psalm 15 shows that you don't need a complete sentence when answering a question.

HH: Honestly, Philip, I don't see an ounce of difference in meaning whether you take it one way or another, as two short sentences or one long one. But I see no reason to abandon the majority view.

Yours,
Harold Holmyard
