I think you mean Exodus 20.

Where in Tanakh do you find that there were ten commandments? Every
other reference that I have found list ten statements of the covenant
(treaty) or just plain ten statements. If recognized as ten statements
of the covenant, the first lists the parties to the covenant, and the
remaining nine are commands: four dealing with authority, four with
one's neighbor, and the final one with one's internal actions.\

I notice that the verse numbering of the 10 commandments in Exodus 12
differs in various places. The numbering in the on-line version of
the Westminster Hebrew Institute's Leningrad Codex and Biblework's
version of JPS have one numbering; my printed volumes have another.

Does anyone know why?
