Hallo Lon,
when will be the best time for you to graft S.domestica?
Clive was told, at California the S.domestica buds start already to open...
In Germany we have no hurry at all. Late cut scions are usually very
strong...

I have a quantity of S. domestica seeds from 2005 if you want to grow
some. They are from the apple-shaped type.

Hallo Donna,_______________________________________________
the English name for Sorbus domestica is also: service tree or
service
apple...
But trees are also very rare and unknown.
I can provide you with scions of:
Several different Sorbus domestica varieties.
Several edible! Sorbus aucuparia varieties and Hybrids.
And also many different medlar varieties...
But all scions are from Germany and a little complicated...
Anyhow, after your decision, I could find a solution for you in the
USA..
Next season I could save also S. domestica seeds for you.
ciao
