I sure hope commercial nurseries read what Jim Fruth just said. I have had
beautiful fruit trees which eventually broke off due to using a slow growing
rootstock and a fast growing top. At least we are informed and it is our
fault if this happens. It is happening on a Mayhaw presently. I think it is
on a Quince rootstock.
Donna just about covered everything you need to know about rooting cuttings
except the religious axioms about paying the preacher and going to church
and praying a lot. I talk to my cuttings. I say; "If you don't root, I'll
feed you to the hogs." (expletives deleted)
