BTW, Tried a test on JDK 1.5 with xom-1.0a5. To get it to run without an external parser (that is, using the JDK internal xerces parser that replaces crimson) one needs to add
"com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.SAXParser" to the known parser names in Builder.java.
private static String[] parsers = {
"nu.xom.XML1_0Parser",
"org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser",
"gnu.xml.aelfred2.XmlReader",
"com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.SAXParser",
"org.apache.crimson.parser.XMLReaderImpl",
...
Perhaps the nu.xom.XML1_0Parser might factor the new funky class names in as well...
Wolfgang.
