i'm not using them at all.

i have no burning desire for them. but i'm doing really simple xml.
otoh, i'm totally wedded to appendChild() -- i use it 145 times in 1045
(non-commentary) lines of xml-related code. trying to keep track of the
index (for insertChild(int i)) would make me very unhappy...
