Happy New Year! Don't let the post holiday humbug get
to you. Commit to laugh more, think less, enjoy life
more this year! Come alive, in 2005!
Start the year off as the FREAK you know you are or
want to be! Come to the first FAME of 2005 (the start
of the 4th year of FAME events). Find your picture
among all the pictures from the past 3 years.
Speaking of freaks, we are celebrating the best of
them with birthday celebrations of SABEEN and CHRISTY.
And celebrating LUCINDA one last time before she
starts her new life on Sunday in Cali.
Cheers to you all! Let us laugh out loud all year
long!

FAME Anniversary Party: FREAK
OUT:Jan15
FAME ANNIVERSARY PARTY:JAN15:FREAK OUT!
This is your open call. To all the freaks, wanna be's,
trashmonsters, psychotics and degenerates...get your
butts out the door and on the freakin' floor.
Since Josephine Baker first wowed them with her banana
skirt (and nothing else) at the Folies Bergeres, and
Zeigfield had his Follies, nightlife has been filled
with colorful and flamboyant characters that defined
their era.
In the Seventies, it was Bianca Jagger's triumphant
entrance into Studio 54 naked on a white horse a la
Lady Godiva. In the Eighties, it was the out-of this
world-Keith Haring body painted Grace Jones. In the
Nineties, a virtual explosion of club kids ran rampant
through NYC nightlife, culminating with the bizzare,
and tragic life of Michael Alig.
The Nineties were a time of experimentation, of
flamboyance and great creativity. Those who remember
NYC warehouse parties remember the characters that
spent weeks preparing their costumes and personal
shows... whether hired or not. It was electric, and
for everyone who remembers it, special. Somewhere
along the way, we moved to NC and the suburbanites
took over, and dress to depress has been the rule ever
since.
FREAK OUT FAME is not just a look back, its a look
forward, picking up where we left off. Its the chance
to inspire the creativity! To make a night like no
others.
The limits of what you can do are truly up to you.
Just be original. A wig and some lipstick just won't
cut it (well for NC, maybe it will cut it).
Think zombie b-movie, think double d cup, think too
much plastic surgery, think glamour, glamour,
GLAMOOOOOORE! We expect to see you, fierce, doing your
thing.

Tsunami Relief
We will be collecting checks and donations, as well as
a percentage of the FAME door, to go towards the SAVE
THE CHILDREN Program, a program in which the initial
focus is on the children and families in Indonesia and
coastal areas of Sri Lanka and India.
SAVE THE CHILDREN has set up a special fund for the
Asian Emergency response and this money will be
designated to that fund (over 90% of all expenditures
are used on direct program services). The program
provides child-focused relief to assist in assessing
and meeting the needs of children and their families.
This includes the basic necessities to survive the
crisis including water, food, shelter and medical
supplies, while also helping children adjust to the
catastrophe.
We will be collecting the night of FAME (and at all
other GlamPro events). You can write checks (which is
encouraged) or donate in one of the designated
collection boxes. The checks should be made out to
Save the Children and indicate on the check memo area
that the donation is for the Asian Earthquake/Tsunami
Fund.
