Hi all,
Byron Coley told me today about a great new blog by Miriam Linna, who was in the first incarnation of the Cramps and went on to a bunch of other bands (including the Zantees, whom I saw in high school!). Start here, with her first entry last May about moving to from Ohio to NY in 1976 to become drummer for the Cramps, without ever having played drums before!
She tells great stories and has scanned a bunch of great photos and artifacts. She was the head of the Flamin Groovies fan club, was friends with Ohio folks like Rocket from the Tombs (whose members went on to Pere Ubu), Electric Eels, Dead Boys, etc., lived with Lydia Lunch & Bradley Field of Teenage Jesus & the Jerks (she had known Bradley in Ohio), and wrote about music. So check it out!
