Hey Everyone,

For those unfamiliar, Chandra was a 12 year old lady in 1980 whose
proximity to the art world, and therefore The Dance members Euginie
Diserio and Steve Alexander, landed her a little EP on the GoGo label.
The EP, which I review on waxidermy here
http://waxidermy.com/2006/04/15/chandra-transportation/ is probably
the best (and only?) no-wave/post-punk Children's record. Not to
mention a great record period.

When I found Steve Alexander prior to getting the Dance reissue going,
he mentioned that after they released In Lust and in-and-around
recording Soul Force, they formed a group with Chandra called "The
Chandra Dimension". Featuring a 14 year old bass player, 16 year old
drummer, and 14 year old Chandra, with Steve and Euginie helping out
on guitar, organ and production, they recorded four songs.
Unfortunately these songs were never released as Chandra had to go to
school. Steve described them as "much more experimental than the
Chandra EP, more noise, these kids were just going wild, almost
psychedelic".

In any case, I would like to officially start the rumor mill by
stating that this EP exists and that I have heard it and it is awesome
(do not e-mail me asking for sound clips, I am not distributing).

Chandra is still deciding how she wants to release this (labels,
formats, etc) but nevertheless, it exists and will be put out on some
format hopefully soon.

Best,

Aaron Levin

PS - Picked up the YMG reissue yesterday (late pass). Lovely.
