My name is MacKenzie Wilson and I have been on the
girlgroup mailing list for a little over a year. I've
been a lurker until today. I am an editor for the All
Music Guide in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I am also a
graduate student completing an English Literature
master's degree.

I'm currently writing a thesis on the Holocaust and
its impact on popular culture. Specifically, my main
focus is on music. Elements of fashion, art and film
will also be discussed.

I'm a big post-punk fan, and have already discussed
and analyzed Joy Division, Siouxsie & the Banshees
("Israel," Siouxsie's Star of David tee-shirt) and
David Bowie. I've also mentioned Neutral Milk Hotel's
"Holland, 1945" and "Red Sector A" by Rush while also
briefly touching upon Joey Ramone's jewish background.

Might anyone here be able to suggest other artists or
songs that I might be able to add to my research? If
you know of something non-music related, by all means
let me know. Thank you everyone. Thanks so much for
taking time out to read this. Hope everyone is having
a great summer thus far!
