Dear freshmeat.net subscriber,
spamatica just announced version 1.0 of MusE on freshmeat.net.
The changes are as follows:
DSSI and Win VST support. A Python remote control API. Some primitive example
scripts for live re-sequencing are included, with more to come. An instrument
editor with GS/XG drum controller support. Part cloning. Better bounce
operations, with JACK freewheel mode support. Better MIDI sync output. MIDI
controller knobs in the piano roll and drum editor. A JACK transport master
timebase function. External MIDI filtering support: write your MIDI filters in
just about anything, including bash. Denormal protection + limiter. Record
looping overdub, replace, and mix.
Project description:
MusE is a multitrack virtual studio for Linux. It supports real-time editing
of
both MIDI and audio in an integrated environment. It has support for LADSPA
and
DSSI plugins (with Win VST support), JACK, and ALSA-MIDI output and input as
well as internal softsynths. Numerous MIDI editors are available, including a
piano roll, score editor, and drum editor.
There is full automation for both MIDI and audio.
