This email is to inform you about the release of version '9.8' of 'hdparm'

The changes in this release are as follows:
A nasty LBA48/LBA28 confusion was resolved. Upgrading is recommended.
The -N flag was fixed for use on non-LBA48 capable drives. ATA_12 is
now used by default (which helps USB), and ATA_16 is used only when
needed for LBA48.

Project description:
hdparm is a Linux shell utility for viewing and manipulating various
IDE drive and driver parameters. Most drives can benefit from improved
performance using a command similar to "hdparm -qm8 -qu1 -qc1 -qd1
/dev/hda".
