This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.01.01a30' of
'cdrtools' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information
can be found at
http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/
The changes in this release are as follows:
Mkisofs now sets up the input character set from the locale. SCSI send
permission problems with USCSI and Solaris are detected and correctly
handled. "cdrecord -pad cue=file" now works as people expect. Linux
2.6.8 warnings are printed only if there really was a problem. The
Blu Ray driver now supports "cdrecord -atip" to read manufacturer
IDs. DVD writing works again. Introducing Blu Ray with 2.01.01a29 did
cause problems with DVDs.
Release focus:

Project description:
cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs/DVDs with a
CDR/CDRW/DVD recorder. It works as a burn engine for several
applications. It supports CD/DVD recorders from many different
vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also
work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI
drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session
support, CDRWs (rewritable), DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, TAO, DAO, RAW, and
human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support
and can access local or remote CD/DVD writers.
