This email is to inform you about the release of version '1.0.5' of 'MPICH'

The changes in this release are as follows:
An SCTP channel has been added to the CH3 device. Infiniband hooks
were added to the Nemesis channel. Speedups have been applied to
collective communications and derived data types. Thread safety
issues in the ch3:sock channel have been fixed. A fix for cross
compiling with a C++ compiler was added. Numerous minor bugfixes and
code cleanups were done.

MPICH is a robust and flexible implementation of the MPI (Message
Passing Interface). MPI is often used with parallel or distributed
computing projects. MPICH is a multi-platform, configurable system
(development, execution, libraries, etc) for MPI. It can acheive
parallelism using networked machines or using mulitasking on a single
machine.
