This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.4' of 'mdadm'
through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found

The changes in this release are as follows:
Full support for raid5-reshape (adding a drive to RAID5) is available
in Linux 2.6.17-rc1 and later. The --monitor option is allowed to
work with arrays with more than 28 devices. Symlinks in /dev are
handled better. "bitmap=" support was added in mdadm.conf for
assembling arrays with separate bitmaps. The documentation was
updated.
