This email is to inform you about the release of version '1.5p' of 'man'
through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found

The changes in this release are as follows:
When the man program encounters a page which is inaccessible, it now
continues the search for an appropriate page and displays the next
one if it exists. Chinese and Russian messages have been added.
MANPATH items can now be set with an asterisk, which indicates that
all possible dir-names are to be searched. LC_MESSAGES is the
preferred variable to set for localized message catalog, and if it is
not set, LANG will be used. A fix was made for correct return status.

The man page suite, including man, apropos, and whatis consists of
programs that are used to read most of the documentation available on
a Linux system. The whatis and apropos programs can be used to find
documentation related to a particular subject.
