Hmm, so there seem to be issues with both 2.5.4a and 2.5.25.
However, using a beta version does not sound worse than using a
version that is de facto unmaintained for years + patches.

AFAIK our mirroring system is now running (the reason for downgrading
from 2.5.17 back to 2.5.4a some time ago). I am going to stay with
2.5.25 for now so at least someone else will do the patching for
us ;).

If your modification to umbrello works with 2.5.4a + patches as well
you might want to submit it to the umbrello developers.
