We're still trying to figure out how to updates like that without
errors. There are two ways that have been suggested, the first is to
leave in duplicate functions for a few weeks (I don't like this), the
other is to copy all the sorcery stuff to a temp dir for the update and
the temp stuff (this would require a lot of reworking).

If anyone can think of another way, let us know.
