Well, we in the sorcery team have decided that we need to document the
API. Yes, we do have one, it's whatever sorcery functions you guys use.
Which means it's ill documented and thus unreliable. So, the first step
in making a proper one is to find out what functions and variables are
being used. The normal ones are:
depends, optional_depends, requires, trigger, query, message,
prepare_install, mk_source_dir
Less common are:
spell_installed, installed_version,

The normally used variables are (ones defined or used by the sorcery
scripts):
SPELL, VERSION, SOURCE, SOURCE_DIRECTORY, BUILD_DIRECTORY, SCRIPT_DIRECTORY,
SOURCEx_URL[*] MD5[*], LICENSE, WEB_SITE, ENTERED, UPDATED, SHORT,
MAINTAINER, C_FIFO

Less common are:
OPTS, INSTALL_ROOT, SPELL_CONFIG

What functions and variables did I miss that are used?
