I think it's an internationalization hack. However, I think the Fs are
for False or Falsche. But he's right about the bug. I think valid input
to it should be given on the query. [Yn] (for a default of Y) and [yN]
(for a default of N). assuming true would allow nine/ja responses. If
you put the chars available right at the query, I think it would be clear
that we're all speaking English here.

I don't know what the Ms are for, however.
