Summary: when an archspec vanishes sorcery behaves badly
Product: Sorcery
Version: Untargetted future release
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: critical
Priority: P2
Component: Sorcery
AssignedTo: sm-sorcery-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: dkowis AT shlrm.org

The nocona-64 archspec vanished during a recent grimoire update.

I tried to go through the sorcery menu option for Optimize Architecture to
select a different architecture. The list of archspecs was never presented.

I opted for a sorcery update, thinking something was incompatible.

This resulted in no sorcery being installed at all.

should be trivial to reproduce. Set your archspec to something that doesn't
exist, and then try to change it within sorcery. If one updates sorcery,
sorcery is lost.

And I cannot restore sorcery.
<paste>
root@femtobox:~# bash sorcery.restore
Restoring the sorcery scripts, please wait ...
Cleaning out all old sorcery libraries...
Installing scripts and libraries
./install: line 6: 13555 Segmentation fault find "$@" -not -type d -and
-not -path '*CVS*' -and -not -name '.#*' -and -not -name '*~' -and -not -path
'*.svn*' -and -not -path '*.arch-id*'
Installing man pages
./install: line 6: 13561 Segmentation fault find "$@" -not -type d -and
-not -path '*CVS*' -and -not -name '.#*' -and -not -name '*~' -and -not -path
'*.svn*' -and -not -path '*.arch-id*'
Setting up build symlinks
Sorcery was successfully restored.
</paste>

Whilst the restore is unrelated, this has resulted in a perfect storm of a
completely broken system. I cannot update this box at all.
