man page says:
"phrase can be any valid basic regular expression. Use quotes to protect
it if needed."

gaze uses grep or awk (depending on the subcommand) and doesn't do any
escaping
of the phrase.

So this is expected behaviour, you wanted to search for litteral +. The bug is
still valid though, since the man page could explain this better.
