Summary: Use of .tar in cache extensions should not be hard-coded
Product: Sorcery
Version: 1.14.x
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: subroutines
AssignedTo: sm-sorcery-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: flux AT sourcemage.org
CC: ruskie+smbugs AT mages.ath.cx
As per ruskie's suggestion, I am filing a bug against the hardcoding of .tar
in
sorcery for spell caches. Currently, $EXTENSION (as defined in
/etc/sorcery/config and /etc/sorcery/local/config) only includes .bz2, and
.tar
is hard-coded. This deprives end users the option of using .zip, .cpio, .7zip,
etc. It is hard-coded at least in libresurrect.
