I actually have some ideas on how to do this, but it requires essentially
re-writing the dependency engine, again. An iterative solution might work
better
than the traditional recursive one. Or it might have new and different
limitations.

Actually it is. Consider a triggered out-of-date orphan. The user almost
certainly wont have the sources locally.

Thats really a separate bug. It would be nice to just have an entirely
separate tool
