------- Additional Comments From iuso AT sourcemage.org 2006-09-25 05:23 -------
After hand-patching gaze with this fix I'm noticing something peculiar. I
don't know if this happens with other branches, too:

# gaze depends gcc 1
basesystem depends on gcc (required)

# gaze depends gcc | grep "basesystem depends on"
basesystem depends on sed (required)

# gaze depends gcc | grep "sed depends on"
sed depends on gnupg (required)

# gaze depends gcc | grep "gnupg depends on"
gnupg depends on libusb (optional)

# gaze depends gcc | grep "libusb depends on"
libusb depends on g++ (required)

# gaze depends gcc | grep "g++ depends on"
g++ depends on gcc (required)

i.e., pure 'gaze depends' doesn't show a direct dependency if it exists along
an indirect dependency chain, or that's how it seems to act. Is this intended?
