you talk how both add and update do things incorrectly, can you be more
specific
about what happened for you and what you think should have happened (and why)?

Im looking at the code and in the 'add' case we leave the directory and
tarball
where they are, so the admin can look at it and resolve whatever issue they
had.
The grimoire is not actually added to the list of grimoires sorcery formally
knows about.

In the 'update' case we restore the original grimoire tree and leave the
tarball
(again so the admin can figure out what went wrong and rectify the
situation). I
guess upon further inspection that code could mv the original grimoire into
the
new partially unpacked grimoire, which is wrong.

So sorcery could probably move the corrupted grimoires into a directory named
as
such first. However I'm just speculating on the nature of the problem at this
point and need more information.

Either the above did *not* happen at all for you, which would be wrong and
need
fixing. Or that *did* happen (in some respects) but you think something else
or
something more should happen instead, but I can't guess what that would be.
