I read this _large_ treath . I can only suggest adding a function "castqueue"
simular like /etc/init.d/runlevels/%S/mountall.sh
that would salvage the build after a crash .. or at least cast the spells in
the install_queue

Is this a nasty hack ?

Or /etc/sysconfig/bootmisc. You probably don't want to just cast what's in the
install-queue as some people may intentionally not clear/finish the queue.

The idea was for a seperate script to do that, which the user could install if
they wanted.

I wonder if anyone actually still wants this. Its such an old bug and theres
basically no feedback. Also, since the way sorcery rebuild works has changed
from when the bug was filed, this is very easy to do on your own for the few
people who want it. Maybe we should just close this?

I would close it. I mean , if you are building something and your system
crashes , the least of your problems is if the build is succ. You first want
the FS to be checked and if your system is still healthy.
Later on, we could add a "post_build" function as a feature . Like a cleanse
--nofix_quick .. but again , this is realy a feature. When does a system
crash anyway ? WHen the power fails .. HW failure .. I don't know. But I
think salvaging some "unfinished" builds to save some CPU cycles because of a
crash is a minor concern at that moment.

My 5 cents

I personally don't think this is useful anymore... also it's like 4 years old.
So I'm going to clobber it. If Andrew has problems (which I don't think he
will)
he can reopen it ;)
