Summary: config_query_string should use 'read -e'
Product: Sorcery
Version: Untargetted future release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: subroutines
AssignedTo: sm-sorcery-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: iuso AT sourcemage.org
read option -e uses readline and understands home, end, and arrow keys. Also
you can backspace all the way up to the previous row(s) of text. In short
it's
100 % bash prompt behavior. And with -e you can also use -t.
There is a downside, though. Pressing up and down arrows will also do
exactly the same as in bash prompt. But in string input that's not a big
problem, and not having decent backspace ability like with the normal read
command is much worse.
