Actually the summon was ultimately successful, it attempted to update, but the
update failed, and thus, it fell back to the previous checkout. This is the
cvs
equivalent of fallback urls. The lack of it doing that was actually reported
by
you in September :-)

There is also config option to forcibly *not* return back to a previous
checkout, and summon will fail right then. Set STRICT_SCM_UPDATE to 'on', in
your local/config if that's the behavior you'd like.

I guess the activity log should show something besides SUCCESS or FAILURE,
since
the code recovered from a failure, but its not a true success. Maybe "SKIPPED"
or "FALLBACK" or something? FALLBACK is nice because it could also apply to
when
a fallback url is used. Thoughts?

I dont understand how this relates to the issue above (incorrect activity log
annotation). If you can, please file seperate bugs for seperate
issues/enhancements/bugs/etc. (Hint: after filing one bug, hit the back
button,
your browser will remember the component/product settings, just change subject
and comment).
