david wanted to work on this, assigning to him

There may be other tools besides the two listed in the title, google around
and
see if anything else is out there.

Im going to list the requirements for this bug

* Need a simple upgrade path for existing systems. We need to be able to
transition all boxes to the new tool relatively painlessly.
* Needs to provide a way to tell what files were touched in the install
process
* Needs to support transparent sandboxing of installation (both zg and fr do
this), by transparent i mean the sandboxed script should not be able to tell
that it is sandboxed.
* Need code to transfer sandboxed install onto system while maintaining
filesystem permisions (resurrect does this, we should leverage it)
* The tool should be relatively simple to setup and enable/disable
* Preferably allow us to drop privilege and not run BUILD/INSTALL as root
* It would be neat if it could hide files for more strict building

This is going to primarily be a research/development exercise, I want to
evaluate how the tools will line up to the above requirements then we can
progress forward from there.
