Well, -q in gaze has (had?) a specific meaning, or at least I have a vested
interest in that meaning. Way back when someone who was then a sorcery coder
started adding frilly progress bars and spinners everywhere and that of course
broke all my scripts that were pulling data from gaze (specifically gaze
search). My email about it is still in the ML archives:
https://lists.ibiblio.org/sympa/arc/sm-sorcery/2002-September/000196.html
I asked for an option to turn the frilly progress bars off and here it still
is
today, although I dont think anyone but me remembers why it was put there in
the
first place :-)

Using -q to give less real output doesnt really jive with me, you use -q to
ensure machine readable output. But like I said there should be some
re-arranging of arguments to better illustrate that.

But since I dont want to do that right now, install, install-full and
install-spell it is.
