Summary: when netselect is used, summon won't fallback to the
'slow' mirror.
Product: Sorcery
Version: 1.x Series
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Summon
AssignedTo: sm-sorcery-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: graphics AT sourcemage.org
I noticed this after treeve updated libxml2 and libxslt to their
new locations, but left the gnome mirror as a secondary source.
In this situation:
SOURCE_URL[0]=http://xmlsoft.org/sources/$SOURCE
SOURCE_URL[1]=$GNOME_URL/sources/$SPELL/${VERSION%\.*}/$SOURCE
netselect determined that URL[1] was the fastest mirror, but the file
does not actually exist on that site.
summon then fell back to the smgl mirrors, (few, these days), which also don't
have the file yet.
It never tried the 'slow' mirror, which did have the file, and could
be retrieved successfully. (which it did, after I turned off netselect).
I believe that the correct behaviour for summon should be to try each
SOURCE_URL
, as well as the mirrors.
