This ought to work not too bad.
However, it is a kinda crude script and will make you a menu of *every
single*
executable on your system, sorted by grimoires, sections, and spells.
This is usually not what you want.
we had some talk about this on the IRC, and me and alley_cat agreed it would
be better to use the freedesktop.org standard for menus
gnome and KDE should support it without much work.
Then it would be up to the grimoire people to make the .desktop files in the
spells (probably like the init.d scripts)
and up to someone to write a conversion script to any-other-wm menus.
If you give me time until July/August, I will pick up the pieces of this
script and rewrite it to work with the freedesktop type files.
So use this file if you want to, but it is a not-too-elegant hack.
