I have never had a re-occurence. On the other hand, I haven't been using
Source
Mage much recently. At the moment I'm dual-booting Gentoo and win98, so I
can't
check to see if the problem is still there. Go ahead and invalidate; I'll
re-file if it shows up again, and I'll be sure to check
/etc/sorcery/local/grimoire before I remove the unwanted grimoire.

On an extra note, I miss SMGL. USE flags are a sucky way of managing optional
dependencies -- they require you to know off the top of your head what every
single package in the entire distribution is and does. If you don't, and
guess
wrong what they do, you either end up with a build that's either
non-functional
or bloated with optional dependencies you don't want. I much prefer the
interactive question-based approach of sorcery.

There are two things I will sorely miss about Gentoo, though. 1) rc-update
and
modules-update, which are truly exemplary tools for managing boot-time module
and service loading. 2) the fonts. Gentoo did all of the configuration for
Freetype2 and X and everything automatically, and the fonts are a zillion
times
cleaner than I've ever managed to get in Source Mage (or any other distro).
