I think our dependency code needs to fail if /any/ of the dependencies fail, I
think it's silly that package foo would still try to cast when something
listed
as something it needs to compile/work (boo and null, in this case) failed.
Optional dependencies should be allowed to fail, but continue to cast the
package (they're optional ;)).
