Summary: init.d converting back to non devfs on 0.7.1
Product: Sorcery
Version: All Versions
Platform: x86
URL: http://forums.sourcemage.org/viewtopic.php?t=370
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2

Doing an unmonitored sorcery rebuild, sets inittab setting back to devices,
and
gives the error unable to find a tty, unless you are there to monitor the y no
questions it will convert system to a non devfs system in inittab but seems to
leave fstab alone, so you are left with a system half devices and half devfs

this can be resolved by using iso to boot into install, get to screen about
setting up keymaps etc go to shell.

mount /
can chroot if you want but a simple nano -w /mnt/root/etc/inittab works just
the
same change settings to dev as per how to reboot and all is fine

looks like an oversight on the script, since some people maybe using devices
still and some using devfs, I dont know if this is fixable, unless there is
some
way to check the current system to see if it is set up for devfs and if so to
not convert ?

It is fine if you monitor rebuild as you can answer questions appropiately
