Summary: Sorcery only checks for not equal on spell versions
Product: Sorcery
Version: 0.9.1
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: Sorcery
AssignedTo: sm-sorcery-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: cdombroski AT gambit.gotdns.org
Hard to make a short summary for this bug so here's the meaningful version:
When checking to see if a particular spell has been updated, sorcery only
checks to see if the version are not equal. If you have a newer version of a
program installed than the current spell version, sorcery thinks that it
needs
to be cast again to the newest version.
I marked this as minor because it only applies when you change a spell
version
yourself to get a different version. However, it is annoying when you change
version numbers because the old version no longer exists to be downloaded.
Sorcery will try to update your program and fail because it can't get the
source it needs. Of course it's also annoying if you need the newer version
for
feature, compatibility, etc.
Enough rambling... the version check should be changed to installed_version <
grimoire_version
