Background
==========
KOffice is a free, integrated office suite for KDE, the K Desktop
Environment.

CAN-2005-2971:
Heap-based buffer overflow in the KWord RTF importer for KOffice allows
remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted RTF file.
Impact

abitrary code with the rights of the user running the application.
Workaround
==========
There are no known workarounds at this time.
Affected packages
=================
This is now fixed in all grimoires.
Resolution
==========
All koffice users should upgrade to the latest available version:
