could $SPELL_CONFIG be used ?
libinitd already uses $SPELL_CONFIG for needs and provides AFAIK.
it is only removed if cast -r is used so it would seem like the perfect place
to store this. It stays until you reconfigure cast. no extra files needed no
extra file parsing...
I ain't volunteering for the job sorry, i just thought this might be a good
idea to bring up.
