If I may make a suggestion.
Perhaps instead of trying to think up which aliases to include, you could
try something
I have used for a number of years:
File called: .alias (I have this in my skel)
In bashrc (or whatever): test -f ~/.alias && . .alias
This way we can all add any favourite aliases and still have default
location to
put them.
That's my two cents.
