Must be just a coincidence I was thinking of how to handle
/usr/share/man/whatis database at the same time.

install-info and makewhatis should both be run -- makewhatis if there's
anything installed into a /man/ directory.

We should move the /usr/share/man/whatis file somewhere else (/var/whatis/)
though .. I'm working on that part.

Alley_cat and I are working on how to handle .dir and .scale caches for fonts.

I'll have no more obnoxiously located aliens laying around then.
