a) assume yes it is ok
b) find the j2sdk-1_4_1_02-linux-i586.bin package using
http://filewatcher.org/
c) install the j2sdk-bin spell and let the j2sdk spell automagically remove
j2sdk-bin when j2sdk has been built.
d) install the j2sdk-bin spell rebuild db and cast openoffice.

FYI the j2sdk spell mostly became needed not because there was any speed,
stability or size advantage to be gained by compiling java ourselves but
because the existing j2re and 2sdk provided by SUN, IBM and Blackdown were
built by gcc 2.95.3 and were incompatible with our gcc 3.X.X compiled
systems. In short, to be able to use java plugins in a gcc3.X.X compiled
mozilla or konqueror we needed to build the plugin with the same compiler.

Jose/ Geoffrey will you have time to update the spell to use the currently
available binary package or at least change the URL to an available mirror ?
OR should I just go ahead and change that for you ?
