Here's what I've found so far (not much): http://www.gnu.org/manual/emacs/html_node/emacs_333.html The mode name is "change-log-mode" in emacs, it's invoked automatically when the file name is ChangeLog. Eric Sandall wrote: Quoting "Sergey A. Lipnevich" <sergey AT optimaltec.com>:I expect this war to turn against me, but I'm silently using format close to EMACS ChanleLog format for my collab section. The thing is, it's next to "industry-standard" (if OSS is an industry) format, supported by EMACS, and generated automatically by tools like cvs2cl (see `gaze what cvs2cl`). I hereby suggest that we switch HISTORY format to that of ChangeLog, and volunteer to write a conversion script for all existing HISTORY files. We do use this format for sorcery already, so why not grimoire? Sergey.Do you have a link to the description of this format? Not all of us use the vile [X]EMACS OS. ;) Changing the HISTORY format is fine by me, if the majority agree on it, or, more importantly, it is a 'standard'. -sandalle |
