Alright folks, here's just a reminder as it's come to my attention that we're
not quite following the plan with regards to the new layout of our devel and
test grimoires. ;)

Anything and everything (short of purposeful destruction (i.e. no 'rm -rf /'s
hidding in any scripts) goes into the devel grimoire, so that we have plenty
of
time to test things before our users (except the brave/foolish) ever sees them
(now, if it's likely to break some systems, a heads-up would still be nice).

As for test, minor version bumps and /all/ bug fixes (unless they're ones like
'update db to 4.1.xxxx' or 'gcc 3.9.99 is out', which are considered not-minor
version changes) go into both devel /and/ test. We've been having most
updates
going only into devel, while our test users, whom're wanting mostly bleeding
edge, but without the rough edges devel is bound to have, are missing out.

Just remember, it is /your/ (the section guru's) responsibility to make sure
that devel and test are as up-to-date as they should be, not someone else's.
If
you need help (RL requires too much time, stuck, etc.), then ask us for help,
most of us are more than willing to help out, we just need to be asked (yes,
politely ;)).

Stable should only have security bug fixes pulled in until a package has been
/thouroughly/ tested in both devel and test and there are /no/ open bugs
against
it. We should have a few people (currently only Tony is doing this) looking
over packages to decide what can go into stable and make sure everything works
together. Prometheus (and other tinderboxen) will help a lot in this (though
they won't be end-all solutions) by catching some of the obvious dependencies
and incompatibilities.

(Constructive) feedback, as always, is welcome.
