If you dispelled Xft2, it probably removed the Xft libs installed by
xfree 4.3, recast xfree and then recompile pango, that should fix it.

Geoff

i am still having troubles with this damn spell.

have removed my own JAVA variable but it still can't find include files.

When JAVA not there this is error:

checking for javac... no
checking for gcj... gcj -C
checking if gcj -C works... yes
checking for jar... jar
checking for gcj... /usr/bin/gcj
configure: error: cannot find java include files

Now first line says that 'javac' is not there??
And last one appears to be talking about gcj??

This error with my JAVA back in:

checking for javac... javac
checking if javac works... yes
checking for jar... jar
checking for javac... /usr/local/bin/java/javac
configure: error: cannot find java include files

So i am buggered either way :(
